TO REPORT NO. 1, A Soviet enargenoy airfield and exercise area are north of the second- clean road Laloosa-[iskZros, and west of the railroad line to [ecel. West of the field runs the Toros Canal. 2. The area has several repair shops and offices; a staff building, with an observation tower and offices; a weapons laboratory; an artillery garage; numrous quarters buildings; an underground banitions depot; concreted gun positions. 3. Various experinants are carried on at the encaapant under Soviet Leadership. The coa^and of the enoaslpnent as well as the researches, are in the hands of the Hungarian War Technical Institute. The officers, NCOs and soldiers who cam, here belong to the artillery and hays red shoulder^boerds. 4. The units include a research battery, a guard ooalaand for the camp and the coup coanand itself. Soviet officer somissions often appear and study with the Hungarian officers. 5. Carried out here are research firings with flew heavy infantry weapons, trial firings of new artillery before its issmnob, and tests of new weapons not yet adopted. 6. There are three underground amnnition depots. The munitions cone by railroad to the Cserd railroad station, and are bro$ght to the camp by truck. The firings_ are conducted to the north, nhere there is a large aarshy area,, closely barred off. The airfield is south of the camp and firing range. There are no hangars or other permanent buildings, but there are 26 earthen bays. Soviet fighter units often use the place, the am being installed in tents. The ground of the field i$-'h rd, and a]aast always usable.
