For about a month, beginning about mid-October, there has been a marked movement of Soviet troops out of Rumania and into Bulgaria. For the most part, they cross the-Danube between Calafat (Rumania) and Vidin,: (Bulgaria.) 2. Troop I~,ross1ngs are-aided by an improvised ferryboat, made of three barges, lashed together? The ferry has thirteen railway tracks, on which rolling stock can be run from trat:ks ashore.. 3.. The troops entering B=ulgaria are mostly either Soviet infantry or motorized troops. They are entering Bulgaria to maneuver in tests of new weapons. The nature of these weapons is now being investigated. 4.
