The utmost exploitation is,being made of these Germans, or zcther, of their knowledge. Germs specialists are working in the military staffs of the Red Arqr as instructors. MwW have taken Soviet citizenship. A great number of Germans are employed in the administration and in the differ- ant branches of industry, mai..n y, however,, in war i dustry. In the Caucasus a purge with deportations is Wring place. Nationalist activity is very strong. Terror and elimination are being used on a w de scale. About a hundred persons have been arrested from. the defense r_;,,s-- sa t and from Co enisssriat for Foreign Affairs. About 50 have beea?: r .
