1. Logographs employed in the Daily Report of recent date have been found. to
be inaccurate, mislending, and apparently unauthorised.
2. Specific examples of improper logographs have been taken from the Par East
Daily Report for.Thursday. January 21. 1960:

P. BE3-The 12:00 Vietnamece broadcast for South Vietnam was logographed
as follows: &Ma, Voice of Vietnam, in Vietnamese to South Vietnam
The correct logograPh dhould re,,d as tollows:
Hanoi, in Vietnamese to South vietnam
The use of "Voice of Vietnam" is obsolete and not authorised
P. ENE7-The 11:00 Vietnamese broadcast for home consumption - a part of the
Borth Vietnam Home Service First Program was logographed as follows:
Hanoi, Voice of Vietnam, in Vietnamese to Southeast Asia
The correct logograph should read as follows:
Hanoi, North Vietnam Home Service
While the broadcast is audible outside of North Vietnam territory, the primary
target is North Vietnam itself.
P. ENS9-The 04:40 Home Service Vietnamese broadcast was logographod as that
on P. ENE7
P. ENNIO-The Vietnam News Agency Noreecast to Peking is logographed as follows:
Hanoi. VRA, in Vietnamese Norse to GMH. (DRV Mission), Peking
The correct logograph should read as follows:
Hanoi. VNA. in Vietnamese Norse to Vietnamese Embassy, Peking
The DILV Mission in Peking was raised to Embassy status several years ago. The
use of GMH, call letters mean nothing aztd therefore should be dropped.
3. AttaChed is a detailed list of current logograPhe for North Vietnam
voice and press caste that Should be adopted by the Saigon Bureaus and Okinawa.
