SUBJECT: Regrading of CIA Documents
1. The attached Bulletin is the first of a series of announcements
which notify you of the change in security classification of specific
CIA documents which were classified RESTRICTED prior to 15 December 1953.
Outside agencies are likewise receiving copies of the Bulletin.
2. You may cite this memorandum and the Bulletin number as the
regrading authority when making the changes in security classification
on the copies held in your custody.
3. This office is in receipt of notices from the other intelligence
agencies informing CIA of changes in classification of their RESTRICTED
documents. These will be incorporated in a subsequent Bulletin and
routed to you,
4. As they occur, please notify me of additional changes (either by
up or down-grading)in the security classification of CIA produced documents
so that I can include them in future issuances. Additional information on
regrading can be obtained by phoning on ext. 4443.
