Naval Activity was located at aronshtadt harbor. The forward stack on this vessel hW an elbow in it about half may up, the top half slanting diagonally aft on the vessel at an angle of about 45?. The other stack was perpendicular. Also located in the harbor were two 10 thousand ton cruisers (described as 01 Sverdlov It class) at Point 1 of Enclosure (A) and approximately ten destroyers at Point 2. All naval vessels were located in the eastern part of Kronshtadt harbor. Several cranes were observed in the immediate area, although there did not appear to be much activity at this time. 50X1-HUM I (between Kronshtadt and Leningrad, several large piles of sand, believed to be for new construction, were noted in the Petrodborets area. f 3. Harbor Defenses No artiainraft or shore gun emplacements were noted on Xronshtadt, and no aircraft activity was observed in the area. It is believed that this may have been due to the fact that the Soviet air show was taking place at that time in Moscow. 50X1-HUM Miscellaneous Naval Vessels 50X1-HUM Two patrol craft of the motor torpedo boat class were noted outside the harbor and about two miles vest of Eronshtadt.
