1. This memorandum is for your information and such
additional action as you may desire.
2. In reference (a) you suggested that a ready reference on
approval authorities might be helpful to Agency officers and in reference
(b) I indicated that we would attempt to prepare such references .
3. We have prepared a listing of major approval authorities, as
they relate to financial transactions, and the lists are attached as they
apply to:
A . The Director, Deputy Director, and the Executive
Director -Comptroller
B . The Deputy Director for Support
C . The Deputy Director for Plans
D. The Deputy Director for Science and Technology
} E. The Deputy Director for Intelligence
4. We have avoided minor detail but have provided statutory
and regulatory references as well as statements with regard to the
extent to which approving authorities have been delegated.
