SUBJECT: Responsiveness in Matters Pertaining to MKULTRA
1. I am aware of the herculean efforts put forth by individuals
in your components in connection with the recent find of MKULTRA
material. This awareness includes knowledge of extensive weekend
hours as well as the great pressures upon your people during the
first part of this week.
2. It would be unfair if I were to single out any individuals
by name because over and above those that I personally worked with
on this matter I know that other individuals have applied themselves
with equal diligence. I would request therefore that addressees
commend on my behalf those individuals they know were involved and
express my sense of gratitude to them. From an organizational point
of view I have in mind particularly the Information Privacy Staff
and the Printing and Photography Division of DDA, as well as the
Office of Technical Service of DDS&T. The other components are
