The subject matters for sensitive issues and allega- tions were reworded as follows keyed to the list with present status also indicated: 1. Senate Select Committee report on assassination of foreign leaders (Action: IG/DDO) has reviewed the report; has made his comments known to the SSC. The Director has asked that not 25X1A discuss the report with anyone. 2. Reopening of investigations (Warren Commission/ RFK/King/Oswald case/Nosenko bonafides) (Action: DDO) Task Force has been established under Chief, CI Staff. 3. (Action. Basic data paper has been prepared by DDA. DDO has been commissioned to prepare a paragraph describing-the value of the project. 4. Testing and operational application of drugs; behavioral experimentation (Action: DDS&T) Paper completed. 5. CIA "penetration" of White House and other agencies (Action: DDA) Paper completed. 6. Misuse of CIA proprietaries (Action: DDO/DDA) DDA portion has been prepared. CCS to submit DDO comments. On paper 11, OLC will summarize the Agency's position on various draft Administration legislative proposals. d. Paper 15, OLC to prepare paper on how we can go about obtaining sources and methods protective legislation. 7. "Improper" relationships with cooperating US companies and individuals (Action: DDO) 8. "Abuse" of covert procurement system (Action: DDA) Paper completed. 9. "Duplication and financial waste" in technical collection programs (Action: DDS&T) 10. Predictability of major international events; postmortems and intelligence failures (Action: DDI) 11. "Improper" use of IRS tax information (Action: OGC/DDO/DDA) Paper completed. 12. CIA and Watergate (Action: DDO) Task Force recommended this issue be dropped. 13. "Distortion" of intelligence for policy purposes (Action: NIO/DDI) suggested title of "Improper Policy Pressure on Intelligence Processing and Product." to collaborate with Dick Lehman and will exclude Vietnam. 2. The Task Force then reviewed the "Issue Options and Actions" papers noted: a. Paper 6 on covert action--essentially covered by DCI's o ening statement for upcoming covert action hearings. to inquire of DCI if he needs anything further on this subject. b. Paper 10 has been retitled "How Can We Tell the Intelligence Story Better." to circulate a 25X1A paper on Thursday, 30 October, for review at the 31 October meeting.
