1. SIGNIFICANCE:
THIS BRIEFING BOARD DEPICTS THREE NEWLY IDENTIFIED AREAS OF POL
STORAGE IN NORTH VIETNAM.
2. LOCATION:
THE POL STORAGE AREA IS LOCATED 0.8 NM SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF DUC NOI
AND 6.7 NM NORTH-NORTHWEST OF HANOI.
3. MISSION READOUT:
BLUE SPRINGS
TO CONSIST OF:
A. TWENTY-THREE BURIED POL STORAGE TANKS, ONE EXCAVATION,
APPROXIMATELY 4,300 OPEN POL DRUMS, AND TWO SUPPORT BUILDINGS LOCATED
IN A SECURED AREA AT UTM WJ906361.
B. SIXTEEN BURIED POL STORAGE TANKS, FIFTEEN POL STORAGE TANKS
ABOVE GROUND, THIRTEEN EXCAVATIONS, AND APPROXIMATELY TWENTY POL DRUMS
LOCATED AT UTM WJ905363. SHRUBS HAVE BEEN PLANTED ON THE MOUNDS IN AN
ATTEMPT AT CAMOUFLAGING THE BURIED TANKS.
C. TWENTY-FIVE BURIED POL STORAGE TANKS SCATTERED THROUGHOUT
SEVERAL CULTIVATED FIELDS AT UTM WJ902367. SHRUBS HAVE BEEN PLANTED
ON THE MOUNDS IN AN ATTEMPT AT CAMOUFLAGING THE BURIED TANKS.
