1. COLLATERAL REPORTS THAT ON 8 FEBRUARY 1965, A COMBINED US -
SOUTH VIETNAMESE AIR STRIKE, INVOLVING FIFTY-FIVE AIRCRAFT, STRUCK
THE CHAP LE AREA, BELIEVED TO CONTAIN THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE 270TH
INDEPENDENT INFANTRY REG iNT. A TOTAL OF 127,920 POUNDS OF ORDNANCE
WAS EXPENDED. ON 11 FEBRUARY 1965, TWENTY-EIGHT SOUTH VIETNAMESE
AIRCRAFT, SUPPORTED BY TWENTY USAF ESCORT AIRCRAFT AND TWO USAF PHOTO
RECON AIRCRAFT, EXCUI'i'D A SECOND STRIKE ON THE CHAP LE AREA. THE
STRIKE AIRCRAFT EXPENDED 75,180 POUNDS OF ORDNANCE ON THE TARGET AREA.
2. PRE-STRIKE PHOTOGRAPHY OF LAZY DAISY
REVEALS A BARRACKS AREA 1.2 NM WEST-NORTHWEST OF BA BINH AND 1.6 TTh
SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF CHAP LE. AREA CONTAINS FIVE,BARRACKS, ONE REVETTED
STORAGE BUILDING:, ONE REVETTED AMMUNITION STORAGE BUILDING, ONE WARE-
HOUSE, TWO MESSHALLS, AND EIGHT SMALL SUPPORT BUILDINGS.
3. POST-STRIKE PHOTOGRAPHY-OF TROJAN HORSE
REVEALS THE FOLLOWING DAMAGE:
