1. On the right side of the road from Tirana to Elbasan? bdtween the 12 and
13 kilometer marks from Tirana (N 41-15.10/E 19-52.35)2 is a large area
fenced with barbed wire. Notices indicating that it is a military area
and that entry is forbidden are posted on the fence at a height of about
1.70 meters.
2. A sentry armed with an automatic rifle is posted on a hill which dominates
the two entrances and the road; the area is also guarded by elements of
the police. A small number of soldiers have been noted both inside and
outside the area.
3. Inside the zone are several one-floor masonry buildings, some of which
have a large covered opening, which appears to be a ventilator, in their
roofs. The Vindows are protected by iron bars. ,
4. In the open and located near the sentry were noted-Wp large pileth of
wooden cases; .a certain number of these were yellow. The boxes were 50X1-HUM !
reinforced and measured approximately 70 x 50 x 20 centimeters.
