Attached at Appendix A is a sketch location plan of a Soviet Radar Site, situated on high 'rmind nt SruANZGRABENBERG The hill upon which the FtiRSTENWALDE to MUNCHEBERG via TREBUS, approximately 1 km North-East of the village of PALMNICKEN. 50X1-HUM 2. At Appendix B is a sketch layout plan of the site, which is rectangular, approximately 400 metres x 200 metres. It is enclosed by a wire fence. Apart from the radar equipment, the site incorporates a wooden .patch-to:rer some 4 - 5 metres high, and three wooden sheds of varying dimensions (see Appendix B). 3. There are in all eight aerial array: on the site, located at points 1 - 8 on Appendix B. Sketches of the various arrays are given at Appendix C, the numbers corresponding to those on Appendix B. 4. The arrays at points 1 and 2, identified as KNIFEPEST, probably round-mounted, are some 10 metres bove ground, while the other arrays unidentified) vary bot,ieen 4 and 8 metres in height above the ground. (The approximate heights are given in Appendix C). The two KNIFEF.ESTS x*ptatet occasionally, :,chile the other arrays were static. Appendix C also gives the -pproximFte orientation of the arrays., 5. A further l%rg: array is t pr..3ent um ur construction at the site. It is surrounded by scaffolding, and appears to be some 10 - 15 metres high. 6. The radar site is mnned on shift bsis by Soviet troops stationed in FfJRSTENWALDE.
