At 2230 hours on 10 August 1958, a rail shipment arrived at Fuerstenwalde from Brest-Litovsk. It consisted of 14 personnel cars and 4+8 flatcars carrying machinery and rockets. Approximately 300 Soviet soldiers wearing air force insignia, with. blue shoulderboards and collar tabs, arrived in this shipment. On each flatcar there were three rockets and three light four- wheeled trailers (Karren) to be used in transporting the rockets. The flatcars were covered with tarpaulins. This shipment was not brought all the way to Fuerstenwalde, but was unloaded between Fuerstenwalde-Sued and Petersdorf, on the Frankfurt/Oder autobahn. 2. The rockets were approximately eight meters long and 160 cm. in diameter and they were painted dark green/gray. The rockets were unloaded by German workers by means of cranes onto the light trailers mentioned above. The trailers were then hooked onto Soviet trucks and driven off in the direction of Storkow.
