The folloying Soviet military rail shipments arrived in Fuerstenwalde between 24 April and 14 May 1958: a. On 24 or 25 April, from Brest-Litovsk four flatcars with a 25X1 total of four amphibious vehicles and two closed railroad cars. The amphibious vehicles were heavy and are believed to have been tank-trans- porting vehicles. b. On approximately 24 April, from Brest-Litovsk road cars with repair parts for automotive vehicles. c. At the end of April, from Brest-Litovsk contents unknown. d. At the end of April, from Brest-Litovsk) with lead containers. The containers were full. e. At the end of April, from Leipzig-Connewitz with heavy -wooden. planks. f. At the end of April, from Brest-Litovsk) boxes and a total of 16 anti-tank guns, 45-mm., M1942. At the beginning of May, from Brest-Litovsk to Muna large railroad ears, contents unknown. three rail- 25X1 14 railroad cars, three railroad cars a railroad car eight flatcars with four h. On 5 May, from Brest-Litovsk, one shipment of 18 railroad cars, contents 25X1 unknown, to Muna and one shipment of 12 railroad cars, con- tents unknown, to Bad Saarow-Pieskow. i. On 6 May, from Brest-Litovsk) (five 0-type cars with containers believed to contain oil. Affixed to one of the cars was a shipping documen125X1 covering shipment from VEB Chemische Werke Buna, at Merseburg, via Brest- Litovsk to Soyuznefteksport, Moscow, Smolenskaya Sennaya 32-34. On 12 May, from Nienburg to, a Soviet unit on the Berkenbruecker Chaussee, six On 2 May, from Eggesin five RRY-type flatcars wit 12 Polish freight cars, contents unknown six flatcars, each carrying one T-34 tank It is believed that the tanks were brought to Fuerstenwalde for repairs. Soldiers of the East German Army (NVA) were guarding the cars. 2. At about the beginning of May, two Soviet trucks were observed on the training 25X1 grounds at Fuerstenwalde. A large piece of equipment (which may have been a radar apparatus) was resting on the two trucks. 0 it had arrived at Fuerstenwalde by rail in mid-April 1958 being carried on three flatcars. Three such pieces had arrived at once thus requiring the use of nine flatcars in all. The trucks on which the piece of 25X1 equipment rested may have been YaAZ's.
