1. Between 11th and 13th November, 1956, a depot ship was
a jetty just south of the Winter Harbour,
seen lying alongside -r~
This vessel was estimated as 6,000
tons deadweight, single funnel,, converted merchant ship with additional aecomanod-
ation built up round the funnel,
4 A submarine was lying alongside the depot ship but no details were obtained
as only a fore and aft view-was obtainable,

of gunshield to afterside of conning tower 30 feet; after side of conning

1, On lst November, 1956, a depot ship of about 1500 tons deadweight was seen
to pass the Fairway buoy into ICL.A A on a northerly course. Vessel was a
converted merchant ship, painted grey, with one funnel and accommodation built
up rocold the funnel.
2, On 2nd November, 1956, a submarine entered harbour and proceeded up stream.
The motor engines,whioh could be easily heard, were spluttering badly as if they
were giving trouble, Particulars as follows:-1
