1. The following report represents a tabulation of daytime rail traffic on
the Ashkhabad Kaakhka section of the Mary - Krasnovodsk line of the
Ashkhabad Railroad System for the period 19 August - 15 September 1957.

2. The tabulation lists all trains in chronological order and identifies
cars by axles and type in their correct order of placement. As an
example, the following represents a section of a typical train: East-
bound EEL - 4f 4f 4t 2t 2b 2b 2b 2b 2b 2t 2t 2t 2t hg 4f 4f 4f. This
abbreviated tabulation reports an eastbound train pulled by an EFL-type
diesel engine. The cars, in order, consist of three four-axle tank cars,
one two-axle tank car, five two-axle boxcars, four two-axle tank cars,
one high-sided gondola, and three empty four-axle flatcars.
