2. Chin-chou Station has been rebuilt, the engineering work having been done
by the Chin-chou Bureau of Railways. The station was widened by the
addition of more than 30 tracks making a total of some 60-70 tracks.
Shunting is now facilitated and it is unnecessary to wait for trains.
Each line has its own stopping and starting points. Track was relaid to
form many three. dimensional crossways with upper and lower level elevated
bridges. The main line tracks of the Ta-Cheng Line (Ta-hu Shan to Cheng-
chia-ttun) and the Chin-Ch?eng Line (Chin-chou to Ch'eng-te) were not 50X1-HUM
altered, Passenger platforms were built at each point where trains start,
