1. On 2 September 1954 the Burgas branch of the Union of Soviet Citizens in
Bulgaria informed its members by registered mail about the regulations
concerning repatriation to the USSR. Also listed were the regions in
which those repatriated would be allowed to reside.
2. At the end of November 1954 some Soviet citizens residing in Sofia
received the same information.
3. The following is a letter received from the Burgas branch:

BURGAS
Yesterday, the first of September, a communication was received from
the Central Administration of the SSGB stating that all Soviet citizens,
residing in Bulgaria, are granted permission to return to the land
of their birth.
Soviet citizens have the right to also bring back their Bulgarian
wives. And vice versa, Soviet women citizens may bring back their
Bulgaria,. husbands. As to childrer."who have Soviet citizenship, they too
can return with parents who are not Soviet citizens.
Those desiring to return to their homeland should call the following
telephone number by A Sr,,t.Pmherj 2n-70 BURGAS at the Central Administration
of the SSGB and submit bye September in writtein form, or appear
personally with the following
1. Surname, given name and patronymic.
2. Citizenship.
3. Date of birth,
4. Place of birth.
