There is an orchard named "Sixteen Republics", south of Vladimir (s'ic). The orchard was planted in 1948 to celebrate the first Russian Youth Agricultural Conference held at Vladimir; Deep comradeship among the young gardeners of the sixteen Republics was consolidated into this old Russian city.
