An electric power station in located on the southeastern edipt of the town of Pulj. The station occupies a 3-story building situated on Via Arsenals. Sjubo VUOICIC, is director of the station, while an unidentified Croatian, is technical engineer. The station employs 50X1-HUM 50X1-HUM some 15 clerical and office workers and some 80 electricians. Condition 2. The entire plant is in extremely bad condition, and for this reason the entire city is frequently without electric power . Capacity The capacity of the plant is 90,000 volts. It is equipped with 5 transformers. Of these. 3 have a capacity of 10,000 volts, and the remaining 2 have a capacity of 30,000 volts. 4maissom. The station 'applies electric power as follows: a. Uljanik Shipyard Enterprise ( former "Scoglio O1ivi2Shipyard, at Pulj) ; 10,000 volts; b. Arsenal at Pulj: 10,000 volts; c. Cement Works at Pulj: 10,000 volts; and d. Remaining electric power supplied to the city of Raj. Origin of equipment 5. The electrical equipment used by the Pulj Electric Power Station for the most part comes from Zagreb. Ruch of the equipment is used. Business Office 6. A business office concerned with the sale of electric power And items to the general public in Pulj is attached to the station. Prices of Electrical items. 7. The following are Prices demanded by the electric station and plant for various electrical articles and appliances: a. 6-watt bulbs - 220 dinars each; b. (cord) - 120 dinars per meter; c. Bakelite switches - 140 dinars each; d. Price of electric current: - 120 dinars for certain period of time ( unspecified); e. Converter for electric stove - 150 - 200 dinars sack. MachineShou 8. A machine shop, subordinate to the above described electric power station at Pulj, is located at the former Via Ennio at PUlj. The shop, which is under the direction of Ante Buric employs 4 machinists. The equipment at the stated machine shop has been described as follows: a. 2 electric lathes; b. 2 electric drills; c. 1 electric saw for iima1inLiand--31 d. Various bench equipment. OFFICIALS ONLY SECURITY INFORMATION Hydroelectric and Thermoeleotric Installations Thnzweltaric powerAgant at Zadar 1. This is the same plant which was in operation during the Italian administration. The plant is located on Via della Posse, Zadar. It has a capacity of 800 kilowattts and furnishes 220 volt A.G. cnrrent. The plant is equipped with th* following motors: a. 1 x 350 norsepower Diesel motort"Grazer"); b. 1 x 600 horsepower Diesel motor ("Grazer"); and 0. 1 x 350 horsepower Diesel motor ("Tosi"). 2. The plant is used as a reserve station and operates only in the event of damage to the lines from Lozovac and in the case of storms. Constant operation of this plant wpuld be too expenisve. 3. The stated plant normally employs some 45 individuals; however, additional employees were hired on 15 January 1953, owing to the fact that towns surrounding Zadar were linked to this network. 4. The director of the plant receives a salary of 14,000 dinars per month, while his two assistant administrative employs receive a salary of 13,000 and 12,000 dinars per month respectively. 5. The plant has two ears at its disposal: one "Topolino" used by the director, and one "Dalilla" used for transporting materials etc. 6. Electric current is supplied at the following prices: a. Current - 11 dinars per kilowatt; and b. Industrial current for private individuals: 5 dinars per kilowatt. gydroalectric.pourer plant at Lozovae 7. This plant was formerly the property of Marko Supuk (sic). It is located in the vicinity of an aluminum factory near the Irk River. This electric power is transmitted to Zadar by means of a high-tension 30,000 volt, triple cable, which leads directly into a transformer station located near some lime fields, which in turn distributes the current to the Zadar netwpec. The high tension cable plant was initiated by the Italians, by means of the construction of electric poles. It was completed by the Yugoslays with the installation of high tension copper cables during 1947.
