General Walters:
I talked to General Weyand's Secretary and she told me she was anxious
to get the names so that she could send the invitations. I explained to her that
you would like to have your two brothers there and that there was still a question
as to whether or not one of them could attend. I told her your sister would be
out of the country at the time. She said you were welcome to invite another lady
guest in addition to the three couples. Others who will be there are:
Gen & Mrs. Gribble have invited: MG & Mrs. Morris; LTG & Mrs. Sammet; &
MG & Mrs. Raymond (ret.).
Gen & Mrs. Elder have invited: LTG & Mrs. Coles; LTG & Mrs. Vessey; & MG &
Mrs. Kearney, USAF (Dep J-5).
Gen & Mrs. Ursano are still thinking about their guests. Gen & Mrs. Kerwin will
also be there.
I suggest you invite Mrs. Abrams to accompany you. Why not see if the Colby's
can make it too. Or the Kraemers. Joe & I will be happy to settle for the Parade
