Mr. Edward Ferriday whose wife is a cousin of

Mr. Ferriday used to work for National Geographic
Magazine and now makes films for them. He said he

The Air Force Office of Foreign Liaison called this morning to say they had been
in touch with General Donaldson re Gen Maurin's visit to the U.S. and General
Donaldson told them that during the course of your visit you had offered to do
whatever you could to help out. They are asking you to block out 26 April to host
a lunch for him at 1215. Gen Maurin arrives Washington the morning of the 25th
and is being hostd to lunch by Adm Moorer on the 25th. He is leaving the morning
of the 27th, leaving only the 26th for you to do something for him. But that is the

Mr. Mason, State Dept, called Gen Walters
8 Jan, re possibility of his checking into
status of U.S. Army Reserves
mandatory removal date.
Mason is one year short of time needed for
promotion altho he meets all other criteria.
Unless promoted, he will be mandatorily
removed from Reserves. He will have
28 years in July. Will be up for promotion
in March.
General said he would check into it.
