Venho por mein desta candidatar-me for employment with your
organization. I made a precipitous decision to retire from
active duty on the first of March, and seek that fabulous
second career while I was still "young."
Based an my own analysis, I have concluded, perhaps unjustly,
that my education and experience have application in other
government agencies, such as the CIA, in which the organization
and procedures are generally similar to those in Defense.
Not wanting to lean too heavily on our acquaintance, I would
ask you to consider two actions: advice that an entry into
CIA would not be timely, or referral of my resume to your
personnel people. I would be happy to provide them additional
