Approved For Rel se 2003/08/25 : CIA-RDP80R01731 ROO"00080047 STAT Major General Harold R. Aaron has written to Lieutenant alters, our Deputy Director, on your behalf. In addition to speaking highly of you, General Aaron raised the issue of the salary which you might be offered if you are employed by this Agency. As you know, no firm offer has been made to you. If the decision is made to employ you, our Career Training Program Officers would not be able to offer you a grade in excess of GS-09. As you can appreciate, we must make every effort to be equitable in the rate of pay we offer to all of our applicants. To make an exception in your case would not be fair to others whose credentials are similar to yours. We sincerely appreciate your interest in this organization and will be in touch with you again upon receipt of your updated application forms. We will then make a decision on whether to formally process your application for a, position with us as a Career Trainee. Meanwhile, we ask that you keep us apprised of any changes which may affect the status of your application or any changes in your interest in employment with us. Sincerely, (S 9d) F. L. M. 11031 F.
