from. whatevar sources in any wee relating to the deeign, eanu-
facture, or utilization of atomic weapons; production of epecial
nuclear material; or the use of special nuclear matereal in the
preduction of energy, unless declassified by the Atoeic energy

2. The General Counsel of the Atte Coti,ion has
nfbrmed ue that they will not reconeider their defintticn of
etriated data, nor will they accept er'dth opo,ed by ua
which would limit the statutory definition to U. Q.intoration
or foreign information seecifically determined by the Cion
to be "restricted data. They have proposed langeage in the
form of an exemption in the statutory controls on infbrmetion.
These controls are set forth in Chapter 12 of the Committee
Print of the new Atomic energy Commission legielation no before
the Joint Committee, and the Atomic Energy Commissione: proposal
would add the following language to -ection 146 which is the
General Provision section:

as restricting or limiting the gathering,. rrelation,
valuation, and communication of iormatiot ooin6

ligence activities."
