Dear Brayton:
am "king Pearre Cabell to take this note to you in answer
your very kind letter of 14 February. You can rest assured
that I have completely forgotten the little incident. I think that
both. of us were who in not going counter to the judgment of the
in command of the particular operation even though at the
time we might have differed with it. As a matter of fact, the
decision probably spared me a long and fruitless vigil at the
airport which poor Frank took in my place, and the result would
have probably been the same.
I have asked Pearre to reassure Bob on the subject. He
.a doing a fine job and we are all back of him.
Needless to say, we remain greatly in your debt for the
;tuno and *kill you are showing in guiding this important enter -
arise and I will take the first opportunity to come out and visit
you. i also *we: a visit.
I do not know whether you ever received my message of
thanks for the supply of pepper you sent me a year ago to keep
kr machine going. All this helps to keep up our spirits
gy here at this end.
