Dear Allen,
Over last weekend l had a chance to read carefully your
speech before the Edison Electric Institute and want to tell you
that it is being hailed as one of the most interesting and instruc-
tive documents on this all-important matter that has yet appeared.
I am sending copies to several of my friends in various
parts of the world and in so doing it occurred to me that it would
be a wonderful thing to have this issued in pamphlet form. Per-
haps you don't do that sort of thing in your particular business,
but in that way it would get the much wider circulation which it
deserves.
Along with this note of congratulation I am so sorry to
have to offer my heartfelt sympathy on the sad news about Foster -
Norris lunched with Helmut Schroder and me today. There is so
little one can say, but perhaps it will help somewhat for his family
to know that Foster is constantly in our thoughts and is an inspira-
tion to all of us.
