A friend of Mildred's wrote her the other day
and in the course of her letter referred to a com-
munication she had had from her son in Mexico.
Enclosed is a quotation from her letter to Mildred
which I think possibly might interest you. I have
purposely omitted the name of the writer and of
her son, but I can give you that information if
you desire it.

is wrote me from Mexico not long ago that
he had run into a student from the college in Mexico
City. The boy told him. that whenever the American
element gets into trouble with the Mexican police -
even an occasional jail detour - all they have to do
for immediate relief is notify the Russian Embassy,
not ours. I promptly telephoned the FBI in this town"
(Glens Falls, N. Y.) "and feel sure they are taking
care of it."
