DD/I called the Director's attention to an OCI memorandum on the Indonesian Communist Party. Godfrey discussed the movement of a new Chinese AAA Division into the Ningming area north of the Vietnam border. Godfrey noted receipt of a cable from Ambassador Talbot on his DD/S said that we have still not heard whether the consulate group from Enugu have arrived safely at Port Harcourt. Warner reported that Representative Lipscomb had asked for unclassified and unattributed information on the Soviet automobile indus- try. The Director told the DD/I to go ahead with this. Bross reported that he had arranged to meet with ACSI officials on Monday concerning .their request for a briefing on Agency organiza- tion. DD/P commented on the fine work that ias been doing in jacking up the security of overseas installations of the Agency and State Department. DDCI noted that the Hardy subcommittee is planning a trip to the Far East on 15 October. The Director said that he would return the State Department memorandum on S. 1035 to the DD/S and asked the DD/S to have explain the uses of the polygraph to the Legal Adviser. Executive Director said that BOB is sending the Agency a letter requesting our views on S. 1035. In addition to a written response, he intends to make personal contact with the BOB action officer.
