SUBJECT National Intelligence Officers
Fitness Reports
1. In response to an inquiry from
of your office, I have ascertained that e zrector
expects fitness reports to be prepared on all National.
Intelligence Officers. The D/DCI/NIO will serve as the
evaluating officer and the Director, will serve as the
reviewing officer. Reporting periods will be consistent
with existing Agency policy.
2. Col. White's waiver of the requirement for
completing fitness reports on Members of the Board of National
Estimates does not apply to individuals assigned as National
Intelligence Officers.
