Many thanks for your letter of July 27th. I have talked
to Stan about your proposal for him to speak at the University
of Wisconsin -- Stevens Point and in Merrill. He does want to
do it and we are keeping it in the hopper for early next year.
I think once things settle down, i.e., the decision on eorga-
nizing the Intelligence Community is made by the President and
implemented -- we will have a. clearer look at the future. In
any case, we will keep you advised.

Appreciated your note. Wish I could be more
helpful with Judge Warren. I think the field has pretty
well been narrowed down. Nonetheless,-I'll get the
dossier into the Attorney General's hands.
I visited Stevens Point a few years ago when driving
through Wisconsin on my way to Minneapolis. It's a
lovely campus. I would enjoy going up to talk there.
I'll keep it in mind for the next opening. I am going
to be in the'Chicago area in November, but unfortunately
I'm too pressed to extend the trip. Perhaps sometime
next year will be a more propitious occasion.
I have not forgotten our telephone conversation,
but things are still in a state of turmoil here as to
the overall--organization.
