Dear Mr. Dulles
I'm a Chicago newspaper columnist whom you don't
know from Adam's off ox but I'd like to add my
Christmas wishes to those of the great and near
great which are coming to you at this season.
Maybe you think the people of this country
don't realize the importance of what you and
your staff and doing daily, but we do. We know
there are a great many dedicated men and women
working with you, risking their necks daily for
our security.
We think Mr. Kennedy acted wisely in asking you
to continue in your unusual work. If we can
enjoy peace on earth at this season, it is
