Your request for a review of what you call a "correction of
errors" by our Military Personnel Division has been carefully
considered.
First of all, lot we assure you that we are Most interested
in the welfare of military personnel who served with this Agency,
and I especially appreciate your apprehension about anything that
appears to jeopardise your flying status.
Your removal from flying status was atcomplished by an
Air Force flight Surgeon. and this same authority is responsible
for your restoration to flying duty. This Agency has no authority
to change your flying status and, if I understand your letter of
15 November clearly. the question of your flying states is being
handled in proper At, Force channels.
'1 e have been in touch with Air Force personnel in Washington
who assure us that our understanding that this Agency has no proper
role is correct.
Although we cannot respond to your specific request in this
instance, such information as we have which may have a bearing on
your career as a whole will be made available to appropriate Air
Force authorities. I understand that lava already made STAT
his professional medical opinion available to the Air Force pursuax*
to your direct request.
