1. Representative Richard Selling and John W. Lehman, Clerk
of the Joint Economic Committee, met with the Director at 1138 a. m.
on 20 January. Also present were:

2. Mr. ,Rolling started off by saying that he did not plan to
issue an Economic Statistics Subcommittee report an the testimony
they bad taken in connection with Russia's economic growth, Re
expected instead to have very general Conclusion* included in the,
full Committee economic study which they eVcted would be
published about 26 January 1968. This is the study to reconcile
various factors of full employment, growth, and stability. There
will be a majority and a minority report, and he expects his
material to be in the majority report.
3. Mr. DWI** wondered if any useful purpose would be
served by publication by the Subcommittee of Russian comments
and reaction to the Committee
