MEMORANDUM FOR THE DIRECTOR OF CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE
SUBJECT: Review of Advance Intelligence Pertaining to the Berlin
Wall and Syrian Coup Incidents (Recommendation No. 26
of the January 11, 1962 Report to the President by the
President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board)
Please refer to your memorandum to the President dated
April 30, 1962, setting forth your views and comments concerning
the recommendations which were made on the subject by the
President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board in its January 11,
1962, report to the President.
The President has noted that certain actions referred to
in your memorandum, have been taken or are contemplated with
respect to matters dealt with in the above-mentioned recommenda-
tions, and it is requested that a further report be furnished to the
President and to the Board by July 1, 1962, reflecting the status
of actions taken as of that date to meet the objectives of the Board's
recommendations.
