Spoke tol in regard to the Rangers. He
believes that orders went out last night in regard to deactivation
for implementation next week. suggested that
call General Brad orc a For Monroe, discuss the
matter and possibly get a CIA man down to Benning Monday morning.
He feels that we do not want to be accused of roselyting but that
we must act quickly. Finally located asked him to
call General Bradford and if any policy matters were involved to
call Mr. Dulles first.
Talked to at some length about the more
recent and confirming information. Called ivr. Dulles. With
his o,.k. tried to get Admiral Souers or Admiral Dennison, neither
of whom were available on Saturday.
