PRESENT: Mr. Dulles, General Cabell, Messrs. Wisner, Amory.
Colonel White, Messrs, Kirk atrick, Roosevelt,
Bissell, Sheldon and
Mr. Dulles:
a. Stated that before he will approve the appointment of
Senior Representatives, Chiefs of Stations and Chiefs of
Missions, he desired the written concurrence of the DDCI, DD/P
and/or COP. The Director said in addition he also desired that
either DD/P or COP personally see these people in order to
assure the officer being appointed is the proper one for the
job. The results of such interviews will be made a part of
the appointment memorandum to the Director.
