C. Referred to the proposed paper on Agreed Activities,
and stated we should ensure that the language contained therein
provided for the coordination of operations now being conducted
by the Military services. In correction this paper, General
Cabell said that as a result of meeting yesterday 25X1
with the Service representatives, nod -been agreed to disagree"
and these representatives felt they could go no further with
the current proposal on this subject. After some discussion
the Director indicated he would meet with the Service Intelligence
Chiefs and Mr. Armstrong after the IAC Meeting today and advise
them of his intention of placing this problem before the NSC 25X1
after he had the opportunity to inform Deputy Secretary of
Defense Anderson of the action he proposed to take,
respeezing intelligence coverage on North Africa and stated he
was concerned over the fact that our assets in this area are thin.
