Mr. Dulles:
a. Noted during his trip a great deal of interest was
expressed by our people in the Career Service Program. The
Director said, however, that-apparently no information on this
program had yet reached the field and asked Colonel White to
determine the status of any notifications to foreign stations.
The Director also said that the question of educational
facilities for the children of our foreign service personnel
was the prime topic of conversation and asked what is being
done about this problem. Colonel Whit uade~~~.!'
study by DD/P-Admin. The rector stated he wished to push
ahead on this as rapidly as possible.
b. Referred to the "exchange situation in I" and 25X1
asked Colonel White if he was aware of the problems connected
therewith. Colonel White said he had received a report from
Messrs. Houston and is preparing 25X1
recommendations for the Director's consideration.
