PRESENT: Mr. Dulles, General Cabell, Messrs, Wisner, Amory, Colonel White,
Messrs. Kirkpatrick,0 Sheldon, 25X1
Mr. Dulles:
a. Referred to a recent article in the NEW YORK TIMES which reported
that the Cominform was urging a revolution in Brazil and asked Mr Sheldon
to see if this report could be verified by nd/or
other sources.
c. Referred to the forthcoming article on CIA in U.S. NEWS AND woRW
REPORT, and approved the suggestion that advance copies of this article he

tained and air mailed to our principal overseas stations,
undertook to have Colonel Grogan do this.
d. Referred to a new version of the bill recommending the appointment
of a CIA Watchdog Committee, to be submitted by Senator Mansfield? and
asked M

Mr. Amory:
Noted that ONE was putting on a briefing for CIA only at 9:00 a.m. on
Wednesday, 10 March, on the subject of EDC and the possibilities of its
ratification, The Director stated that even though this was being done for
internal information only, he desired that the briefing have a constructive
turn rather than one of prediction.
Colonel White:
Recommended the Director be prepared to discuss coordination between .IA

Mr. Kirkpatrick:
Noted Senator Ferguson had introduced a bill on behalf of himself and
Senator Knowland which provided for clearance by the Senate of allinternational
agreements.
