b. Briefly referred to the reports submitted by Mr. Hedden as a resul?. of
his trip and asked him to extract the recommendations therefrom and i`orwa.r=i ,hem
to the appropriate Deputy for comment, recommendation, and report of' completed
action to him (DCI). In this connection, the DCI directedl to ad.v!-se 25X1
the Inspector General the action already taken on the reports in question.
c. Briefly reported on his conversation with Mr. Harry Rosenfield o:i-'
President's Policy Commission on Immigration and stated the Committee wished
CIA to testify on certain aspects of the McCarran Act and its relationship t-i
the cold war. After some discussion, the Director reiterated his previous
statement that "we would keep out of this one".
