Mr. %)ulles raised the question of having Q substituted 2 5X1 as Liaison with in the place of the lady who is presentl;;r so acting. After some discussion, it was felt questionable whether Oshould take ar 2 5X1 official position with the Government and Mr. Dulles drafted an appropriate revision of the cable respecting this matter which I checked over with hiii. 2. Mr. Dulles raised the question of whether Vishinsky's pro;~osa that the Security Council study the Korean negotiations was a :natter for consideration by the PSB. The DCI indicated that this suggestion should tie passed on to the PSB and also approved Mr. inTisner's suggestion that it be brought to the attention of the POCK. It might be possible to use this suggestion as a means of driving a wedge between the Russians and the Chinese. 3. Mr. Dulles discussed briefly the situation in Southeast Asia and indicated his feeling which was shared by Mr. Becker that existing policy is inadequate as respects the threat to Burma. !~. Mr. Wolf reported that a man who had been in the uncleared training pool was missing and his mother is now in touch with some Cong-ressc_an. He merely wished the DCI to be advised. 5. In connection with the foregoing item, there was a brief discussion of whether people in the unclassified pool were given enough work and whether such work was supervised. It tiJas indicated that this matter was in the control of the Director for Training. The DCI instructed Mr. Hedden to look into this situation. 25X1 6X1 8. Mr. Wisner reported that he had finished his discussions with his operating offices respecting directives irr~~letnenting the next stage of the inte~,ra- tion program and he desired to discuss this matter with the DCI, who indicated he would be glad to do so.
