Stated that we should get in touch with Williami H. Draper and give him a briefing on "a few things he should know". Mr. ~Mi.sner noted that he intended to drop a line to Mr. Draper congratulating him or his appointment and he would take this opportunity to ask Draper to come by and see us when he returns from Europe. The DCI approved and said wve should not give Draper anything in writing. b. Referred to yesterday's conversation with Adm. Radford ana_ noted Radford's comments on the Communists and off-shore island operations. He stated that our Estimates people should look into a possible invasion of Formosa. Mr. Becker noted that as a result of Adm. Radford's visit, he had already discussed. this with King Douglass. Mr. ?'ii_sner said that. he had prepared a memorandum of conversation of the Radford meeting.ard sent copies to AD/SO and AD/PC. c. Asked if the Communist Party in Cuba was legal and upon being informed that it was inquired if there was anything we could do to slow down the flow of newsprint irS"athis country. a. Briefly reported on the Senior Staff meeting held yesterday at which the Southeast Asia paper was discussed and stated that this f:,aper via. about where it was two months' ago. He also said that he believed this group would benefit from a talk by Adm. Radford and had mentioned this to 0 b.
