The Director:.
a. Referred to item one in the CIB of 29 January 1952 and the 'item
in today's log concerning and asked what we ultimately intended to
do with these people. After some discussion wherein it was pointed ~>ut
that (1) if the troops in r~uestion were to be evacuated such evacuat.ton
was not our responsibility and vrou7_d be done on an overt basis, (2) tI14
does have an interest in this matter from a policy viewpoints the :JtI
directed that upon return he and Mr. Wisner discuss with
Messrs. Matthet~rs and Lacey o a e what could be done to settle the
problem.
c. Stated that Gen. Bradley was coming in to see him at 3:00 Ptt this
afternoon and that he assumed the matter of CIA liaison with the Joint C~x_te~.
would be discussed at this time. In this connection, he noted that .a misfit
