The DCI told Mr. Wolf that he had dined with the Surgeon General
who had agreed to make the necessary contacts with Defense and the Services
so that we would get some preferential treatment. He asked Mr. Wolf to
prepare any necessary letter or memorandum for his signature.
Mr. Dulles mentioned Dr. Chadwell's statement of functions for -3i.
It was agreed that nothing should be done pending the survey of OSI and
Mr. Dulles will return the papers to DD/A.
Mr. Dulles said that) would like the Director to
attend a large dinner in December for C. D. Jackson, Mr. Luce, General Clay,
etc. The DCI said he could do it on the 17th of December.
