Mr. Dulles noted that) was leaving the Department
of. Justice for private practice on the 15th of September and that Mr.
Dulles was confirming our arrangements with successor in
the D of J. The DCI raised the question of retaining as
a Senior Legal Consultant and it was agreed that this should be done.
Mr. Dulles handed to the Director a memorandum from
(reporting on a CIA representative Who had
broken down and had been recalled. In this connection, the DCI
questioned whether CIA should not. limit the tours of its personnel
in such areas, as the Army does. Mr. Wolf noted that he planned
to have a program on this point in the same
connection, Mr. Dulles noted the need n a
long-term basis in such areas.
