Approved For Release 2008/12/17: CIA-RDP80BO1676R002300060060-7 W r I It-A. ; Monday, 3 December 1951 Colonel Hansen stated that he had received a request from a radio station in Hartford, Conn. reY*arding an American PW broadcast. This broadcast was monitored by FBIS and apparently the American PW giving the broadcast resides in or near Hartford. After some discussion, it was the consensus of those present that the broadcast in question should not be released to the radio station but there was no objection to it being released to the family of the PW concerned provided prior approval was obtained from the Department of the Army. Col. HansenctIA-4 noted that he had had a few nibbles from various newspapers concern'._ng the establishment of new FBIS monitoring stations. It was noted that there was no way to discourage such requests other than asking that any announcements made indicate that such installa+-.ions were "Government stations". Mr. Reber stated that a telecon was to take place tomorrow morning on the matter of post-treaty intelligence activities between the delegation now there and their respective home offices. Mr. Rel:er will notify those interested offices of CIA who may wish to sit in cn this conference. TOP SF(RFT Approved For Release 2008/12/17: CIA-RDP80BO1676R002300060060-7
