Mr. Reber noted that NIE's 25 and 38 would be discussed at
the IAC Meeting today.
25X1 Mr. 0 reported that a system was being devised whereby
CIA would send a Weekly Intelligence Summary to our Senior
25X1 Representatives abroad. Mr. will deliver his copy to
Colonel Schow, who in turnwil sow it to Generals Eisenhower
and Gruenther. This led to the discussion as to whether we were
25X1 not in fact competing with the Week Summary which is prepared
by G-2 for General Eisenhower. Mr, and Mr. Oboth
25X1 noted that any intelligence summary produced by CIA might well
be in ccanpetition with G-2. However, General Eisenhower has
specifically reported to Mr. Dulles that he had not seen anything
from CIA other than estimates, and did desire to receive pertinent
2 5X1 information pertaining to his area from CIA. It was noted that

matters. Mr. 0 stated that OCI was preparing a dry run
25X1 which is to be shown to the DCI for his approval.
25X1 Mr. 0 reported that an individual of OPC apparently
had a mental breakdown Saturday afternoon and it was necessary to
25X1
place him temporarily in 0 Hospital. He also reported
25X1 that our office Duty Officer- system did not appear to be function-
ing, since the CIA Duty Officer was not able to contact the
proper authorities in OPC. (NOTE: CIA Regulations require that
each office notify the CIA Duty Officer where responsible indi-
2 5X1 viduals may be reached at all times,) Mr. 0 also noted that
a plan was being drawn up to handle any future cases of this
nature, which will include action on the part of the Medical
staff, Security and the AD concerned.
Mr. Reber again raised the question of the Agenda to be
2 5X1 discussed at the AD's meeting. Mr. 0 stated that he had
discussed this matter with the D/DCI and would discuss it further
with the DCI.
