The Director stated that he had told Mr. Dulles to go into the
whole question of 0 as some change might be necessary.
The DCI asked about Mr. Stassen. Mr. re orted that r_e
General Clay was going to make the first a roach. thanks
that Stassen is favorably disposed. Mr. II will check this.
Mr. reported that Admiral Stevens had presided over a
large meeting of JCS representatives in regard to the Magnitude t'aper.
Some apprehension was expressed over the proposed position of CIA as
against that of the Military. General McClure' s office appears sli?,ntly
hostile. The Director stated that Adniral Stevens and General Magruder
had been of the greatest help.
